Re: Bug#573272: transition: ruby1.9 -> ruby1.9.1
Hi,
I initially planned to track the ruby1.9 -> ruby1.9.1 transition. But I
give up. I think that ruby1.9 should be removed from testing now,
together with the following list of packages (which are all the reverse
build-deps or depends of ruby1.9):
Debian Ruby Extras Maintainers <pkg-ruby-extras-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org>
libgruff-ruby (U)
libi18n-ruby (U)
libnet-scp-ruby (U)
libnet-sftp2-ruby (U)
libnet-ssh-gateway-ruby (U)
libnet-ssh2-ruby (U)
libnokogiri-ruby (U)
libprawn-ruby (U)
libwww-mechanize-ruby (U)
Sebastien Delafond <seb@debian.org>
libdifflcs-ruby
Christopher Lunsford <binarymutant@gmail.com>
libnet-scp-ruby
libnet-sftp2-ruby
libnet-ssh-gateway-ruby
libnet-ssh2-ruby
Bryan McLellan <btm@loftninjas.org>
erubis
libabstract-ruby
libstomp-ruby
Ryan Niebur <ryanryan52@gmail.com>
libprawn-ruby (U)
libwww-mechanize-ruby
Ryan Niebur <ryan@debian.org>
libnokogiri-ruby
Athena Capital Research <acr-debian@athenacr.com>
libi18n-ruby
Roberto C. Sanchez <roberto@connexer.com>
libi18n-ruby (U)
TANIGUCHI Takaki <takaki@debian.org>
libmecab-ruby
Paul van Tilburg <paulvt@debian.org>
libgruff-ruby (U)
Gunnar Wolf <gwolf@debian.org>
libgruff-ruby
libnet-scp-ruby (U)
libprawn-ruby
libwww-mechanize-ruby (U)
NIIBE Yutaka <gniibe@fsij.org>
htree
It is clear that we are not able to maintain so many ruby libs with the
current packaging system, but it is too late to fix that for squeeze,
and the fact that maintainers do not test their changes properly doesn't
help.
