About a half a year ago, I gave feedback to Mozilla/firefox when I
built firefox package
the first time[0]. They tell me they have to wait to update nix and
align with others rust crates
at that time. It should be the case for Thunderbird upstream also. But
I think it is time to request
again.:)

Yeah. Another rust crate that needs to be updated is authenticator[1].
Besides these, there are just
midir and alsa crates that need to be adjusted--to adapt to
nix(0.23)--nothing more.

These crates have supported riscv64 from upstream, but Mozilla keeps
their vendor crate which is old in my view.
Once they have done this, these patches to support riscv64 on Debian
can be dropped safely.
