Hello,

we are in the process of bootstrapping a Debian port for the
riscv64 architecture (https://wiki.debian.org/RISC-V).  The
systemd package - which uses meson as its build system - is part
of the build-dependency chain for the essential package set, so
we need to cross-build systemd to be able to complete the
bootstrap process.  Due to the meson issue at

  https://github.com/mesonbuild/meson/issues/3113

it currently isn't possible to crossbuild the systemd package in
Debian. A fix for this is already in upstream meson git at

  https://github.com/mesonbuild/meson/commit/c4192a04fd3d46ac7a0ee81a158e7b1e3d4f06f8

but not part of the most-recent upstream meson release (0.45.1). 
It would be great if you could carry this one-line patch in the
Debian meson package until a new upstream release including this
fix is available.
