Re: db5.3 package maintainance

Hi,

(Not copying the maintainers, only debian-riscv mainling list)

2018-08-12 23:04 Karsten Merker:

If you should upload a new package version, it would also be
great if you could add riscv64 to the "JAVA_BROKEN_ARCHS" list
(as is already the case for m68k) because we currently don't have
a working JDK for riscv64.

openjdk-10, the default version in all/most arches, is available in
"unreleased".

It uses "Zero" instead of proper JIT support with Hotspot, so it's
slower, but it works.

Not sure if libdb*-java doesn't work with Zero and requires JIT, but if
it does, it's probably better to not add riscv64 to JAVA_BROKEN_ARCHS of
db5.3.

(libdb5.3-java doesn't have many packages depending on it, AFAICR, so
probably there's not much difference in practice either way... but
still).

Cheers.
