Use $PATH everywhere on the man page when you talk about "path". Else it
is confusing. Nobody is completely sure which of the possible paths
(-f's path, $PATH, etc.) you are talking about always.

I'm afraid we dont know what you're talking about. $PATH has a very
specific meaning (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PATH_(variable)) and
nowhere in the manpage we mean that.
