Package: freerdp2-wayland
Version: 2.0.0~git20190204.1.2693389a+dfsg1-2
Severity: important
File: /usr/bin/wlfreerdp

Dear Maintainer,

I am trying to duplicate my normal work environment using wayland and have
rejected using gnome or plasma if possible. I normally use xfreerdp (which
continues to work fine with xwayland). Trying wlfreerdp with gnome or plasma
works but is buggy (not resizing properly among other things), but on sway
fails to show the gui. I get the following output:

earthworm@savigny:~$ wlfreerdp /f /u:yyy /p:xxx /v:freegeek.myrealdata.net

the server, forcing the disconnection of the current connection.

There is no gui showing, but clearly I am logged in to the remote server, and
then when I connect with xfreerdp, it works and disconnects me from the
wlfreerdp interface (last line).

I considered that this might be best posted to sway, but I found this
discussion and patch on another application
(https://patches.videolan.org/patch/20875/)that pointed out the problem to be
the error above "xdg_surface@22: error 3: xdg_surface has never been
configured" and that failing to render at all was an appropriate response to
this bug. That application also worked but buggily in gnome and plasma.

Thank you for your attention.
