Bug#1030771: nmu: x11vnc_0.9.16-7

Package: release.debian.org
Severity: normal
User: release.debian.org@packages.debian.org
Usertags: binnmu
X-Debbugs-Cc: debian-remote@lists.debian.org

nmu x11vnc_0.9.16-7 . ANY . bullseye . -m "Rebuild against libvncserver 0.9.13+dfsg-2+deb11u1 which unfortunately introduced an ABI incompatibility and requires a rebuild of its consumers. (Closes: #1027043)."

Dear release team,

after upload of libvncserver: 0.9.13+dfsg-2+deb11u1 our users spotted a
regression in performance of x11vnc. The solutions for the reporting
users were:

 (1) downgrade to libvncserver 0.9.13+dfsg-2
 (2) rebuild x11vnc against libvncserver 0.9.13+dfsg-2+deb11u1

Option (2) is IMHO the way to go, thus this binNMU request for x11vnc in
Debian bullseye.

The ABI-break patch in libvncserver is this:
https://salsa.debian.org/debian-remote-team/libvncserver/-/blob/debian/bullseye/updates/debian/patches/0003-rfb-increase-update-buf-size.patch

Greets,
Mike
