Package: xtightvncviewer
Version: 1.2.9-8
Severity: normal

I have a file $HOME/.hostaliases, with contents
...
bohr vpn252-75.cc.swin.edu.au
...
and have set $HOSTALIASES to $HOME/.hostaliases (see gethostbyname(7)
for description -- it's meant to be a glibc thing)

All programs I have come across to date obey this file, except of
course setuid progs. xtightvncviewer is not setuid, but still seems
to ignore me setting a display of bohr:0:

> xtightvncviewer -encodings tight -geometry 1280x1024+0+0 -passwd /home/ssi/tconnors/.vnc/passwd bohr:0
...
Couldn't convert 'bohr' to host address

Stracing all other programs (including X programs with DISPLAY set to
bohr:0) shows the program opening ~/.hostaliases, and finding a match,
but xtightvncviewer doesn't even try to access ~/.hostaliases.

I close this bug as it is unreproducible and no evidence has been
provided it still exists.
