Package: release.debian.org Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: tasksel@packages.debian.org User: release.debian.org@packages.debian.org Usertags: unblock Hello, I have made a last upload of tasksel=3.82 for Trixie, to fix a small issue. Could you unblock it in time for the release, please? Thanks, Holger [ Reason ] In a recent bugreport (#1110130) it was discovered, that the new function in tasksel to allow the installation of Debian Pure Blends directly in the installer has some small issue: Inside the debian-installer everything works fine, but when the user calls tasksel later in the installed system (which is also a valid use case), the new "Choose a Debian Blend for installation" entry is also visible, but the corresponding "blendsel" package may not be installed. When the user then chooses this entry, it does not work (no dialog for choosing the blends). I uploaded a fix, so this new entry is only visible, when running inside the installer. [ Impact ] The dialog for choosing blends does not appear, this might confuse users. [ Tests ] Tested manually for both cases (in the installer and in the installed system) [ Risks ] Change only affects the new feature for installing blends. [ Checklist ] [X] all changes are documented in the d/changelog [X] I reviewed all changes and I approve them [X] attach debdiff against the package in testing unblock tasksel/3.82Attachment: patch

Hi,I'm sorry we couldn't unblock your request in time for trixie. I'm closing all open unblock requests in one go, so I'm not going into details of the particular request, but reasons are typically as follow:- the request came after the deadline of 2025-07-30 - the request came late and we just didn't have the time to deal with it - the request was waiting for action from the submitter (moreinfo tag) - the request didn't appear to be in line with the freeze policy and we didn't have the energy to engage (sorry for that, see our FAQ [1]) - there was discussion in the unblock request but no agreement was reached in time for the release.
