Hmm, how do you come to that conclusion that they are covered by
bookworm already? bookworm has right now 1.14-20 and both bugs are yet
unfixed in Debian bookworm.
#1051496 was fixed in 1.14-22, but it was in the end still bit found
to be incomplete, see https://bugs.debian.org/1051496#55 . Then the
later update covered by #1089039 changed the original approach with
updating the embedded Parse::Syslog to version 1.11 which fixes both
#1051496 completely and as well #1089039.
Situation right now:
mailgraph | 1.14-20 | oldstable | source, all
^^^^^^^^ unfixed (and I can reliably reproduce the problem)
mailgraph | 1.14-20+deb12u1 | oldstable-new | source
my proposed update, which with the update of
Parse::Syslog so coverin both bugs.
mailgraph | 1.14-23 | stable | source, all
mailgraph | 1.14-23 | testing | source, all
mailgraph | 1.14-23 | unstable | source, all
All of these are fixed, so including our shiny new trixie :)
Does that helps? Or maybe I do miss something? I defintively can
confirm the issue is present in Debian bookworm.
About the severity: I think they should have been higher because with
rsyslog log format, mailgraph gives empty graphs and cannot parse the
logs. Personally I would have said this could be considered RC level
but I did not want to dispute it as more importantly find the
mailgraph not functioning just to be fixed and we would be done with
oldstable :)

Salvatore
