Package: release.debian.org User: release.debian.org@packages.debian.org Usertags: unblock X-Debbugs-Cc: gstreamer1.0@packages.debian.org Control: affects -1 src:gstreamer1.0 This is a pre-approval request in case the Debian Release Team wants this handled differently. Also, this hasn't been uploaded to Experimental because gstreamer 1.26.3 is there which we do not currently intend to get into trixie. Please unblock package gstreamer1.0 [ Reason ] We recently realized that as of gstreamer 1.26, the file Gst-1.0.gir is no longer identical across architectures. This was noticed when someone tried installing libgstreamer1.0-dev (amd64) and libgstreamer1.0-dev:i386 on the same system and dpkg reported the error. We believe that the most minimal way to avoid this issue is to remove Multi-Arch: same from libgstreamer1.0-dev (preventing co-installability). Practically, libgstreamer1.0-dev being Multi-Arch: same probably isn't very helpful because libgstreamer-plugins-base1.0-dev is not. For forky, we intend to move architecture-dependent gstreamer .gir files to /usr/lib/${DEB_HOST_MULTIARCH}/gir-1.0 and set Multi-Arch: same. There are more details and discussion in https://bugs.debian.org/1108412 [ Impact ] Discussed above [ Tests ] There are build tests but build test failures only fail the build on amd64 and arm64. No autopkgtests. [ Risks ] Key package for every Debian desktop [ Checklist ] [✔️] all changes are documented in the d/changelog [✔️] I reviewed all changes and I approve them [✔️] attach debdiff against the package in testing unblock gstreamer1.0/1.26.2-2 Thank you, Jeremy BíchaAttachment: gstreamer1.0_1.26.2-2.debdiff
