IMHO, apt-mirror2 would keep co-exist with apt-mirror for a long time. As apt-mirror had very long time in Debian and apt-mirror2 is very new. Perhaps we have some communicate mismatch. I just intend to unblock apt-mirror2, let it in trixie; but I don't intend that apt-mirror2 replacement of apt-mirror in trixie. apt-mirror2 had set: Provides: apt-mirror It's benefit for user smooth switch to apt-mirror2. We don't need to traded one source package for another in trixie, only let apt-mirror2 into trixie is enough. It's not a good time to replacement of apt-mirror now. There are many details and very long time to explicit coordination in the further for replacement. > >> If apt-mirror2 is proven by user it's enough stable in trixie, >> we can do explicit coordination with the package maintainer of apt-mirror in forky. > > This testing can also happen via backports to trixie once > trixie-backports opens. Use trixie-backports also is a way to let user test and switch to apt-mirror2, but has a little inconvenient, many user don't use trixie-backports. > > Cheers Thanks! -- 肖盛文 xiao sheng wen -- Debian Developer(atzlinux) Debian QA page: https://qa.debian.org/developer.php?login=atzlinux%40debian.org Debian salsa: https://salsa.debian.org/atzlinux-guest GnuPG Public Key: 0x00186602339240CB
