Package: release.debian.org Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: bootp@packages.debian.org, niels@thykier.net Control: affects -1 + src:bootp User: release.debian.org@packages.debian.org Usertags: unblock Please unblock package bootp [ Reason ]The package produced a different content when built under fakeroot vs. without. The difference was identified by the reproducibility testing. The package was NMUed out of a "rather safe than sorry" principle to revert its content to its previous status quo.The root cause is not fully understood, but a follow up bug is left for the maintainer to resolve (see #1105880).[ Impact ]Unknown; but the change is a "rather safe than sorry" change to revert to a previously last maintainer tested state.Best estimate from the diffoscope is that the delta is "only" whether the binaries are stripped, but diffoscope deltas of ELF binaries are not trivial to read - hench, the safety revert.[ Tests ] None; we are reverting to a previously known state. [ Risks ] (Discussion of the risks involved. E.g. code is trivial or complex, key package vs leaf package, alternatives available.) [ Checklist ] [X] all changes are documented in the d/changelog [X] I reviewed all changes and I approve them [X] attach debdiff against the package in testing [ Other info ] None that I can think of. unblock bootp/2.4.3-21.1Base version: bootp_2.4.3-21 from testing Target version: bootp_2.4.3-21.1 from unstable No hints in place.
