Package: release.debian.org Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: petsc@packages.debian.org Control: affects -1 + src:petsc User: release.debian.org@packages.debian.org Usertags: unblock Please unblock package petsc [ Reason ] petsc migration was held up for a long long time by problems with the mpich package, which are only just now being resolved. In turn a large number of dependent packages have been held up. When mpich migrates to testing/trixie, petsc (and the clot of dependent packages) should be allowed to migrate too. [ Impact ] petsc 3.22.5 has a number of bugfixes which will not be available to users if not included in trixie. [ Tests ] debci tests for petsc as well as dependent packages are passing. petsc is marked as a "key" package due to the number of dependent packages, which is why this unblock request is needed. [ Risks ] This is a new upstream release, but upstream testing alongside debian debci testing mitigates risks. [ Checklist ] [. ] all changes are documented in the d/changelog Documented as new upstream release [x ] I reviewed all changes and I approve them [ ] attach debdiff against the package in testing New upstream release delayed by mpich, debdiff is not constructive. Upstream commits are listed at https://gitlab.com/petsc/petsc/-/compare/v3.22.3...v3.22.5?from_project_id=13882401 unblock petsc/3.22.5+dfsg1-2
