Package: release.debian.org Severity: normal User: release.debian.org@packages.debian.org Usertags: unblock X-Debbugs-Cc: vala-panel@packages.debian.org Control: affects -1 + src:vala-panel Please unblock package vala-panel I attempted fixing vala-panel and vala-panel-appmenu in time for the soft freeze deadline, but something went wrong with the vala-panel upload to unstable and I failed too notice. (Only realized while on family vacation). I now uploaded vala-panel 24.05-3 to unstable (after going via NEW queue and experimental) which in combination with vala-panel-appmenu provides appmenu support for desktops like Xfce and MATE. [ Reason ] Upload failure probably on my end (E_INFRONTOFSCREEN). Humble request to let this into Debian 13 still. [ Impact ] Appmenu support (global application menu) lost for MATE, Xfce and Budgie users. [ Tests ] Manual runtime tests. [ Risks ] None except for above named use case. [ Checklist ] [x] all changes are documented in the d/changelog [x] I reviewed all changes and I approve them [ ] attach debdiff against the package in testing (package is not yet in testing) [ Other info ] This goes together with another unblock request (to be sent as follow-up) for vala-panel-appmenu. unblock vala-panel/24.05-3
