How many packages would be affected by the GR? How many of those are key
packages? How many of those are essential for d-i?

We are past the point of allowing new source packages. But without
impact analysis, nobody will be able to provide you an answer.

I was not following the discussion of the GR in much detail, but for me
it seems that Jeremy summarized the state of the proposed GR quite
clearly in
