Package: release.debian.org Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: rustc@packages.debian.org, debian-rust@lists.debian.org, debian@fabian.gruenbichler.email Control: affects -1 + src:rustc User: release.debian.org@packages.debian.org Usertags: unblock Please unblock package rustc [ Reason ] See https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1095863#70 and https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1095862 This undoes the i686 baseline lowering in rustc compared to upstream. [ Impact ] rustc-compiled binaries on i686 might be miscompiled and have subtle broken behaviour or crashes [ Tests ] this change aligns rustc on i686 with upstream's baseline. the testsuite of rustc itself covers a lot of toolchain behaviour and had to previously be patched to accomodate for the deviation (see debdiff) [ Risks ] there will be a few crates that need changes to remove patches adapting to the deviating previous baseline. in particular quite a lot of tests will fail if they rely on certain properties of FPU behaviour. [ Checklist ] [x] all changes are documented in the d/changelog [x] I reviewed all changes and I approve them [x] attach debdiff against the package in testing unblock rustc/1.85.0+dfsg2-3Attachment: debdiff
