Severity: normal

This is a pre-unblock request.

[ Reason ]
When installing the reaver package from the repositories, the
segmentation fault was returned for all the commands I tried to
execute.
Makes the package unusable. This was confirmed by me and Andrey in bug
RC #1036591.
The last update from the maintainer was 5 years ago and the problem
was fixed in a version released 3 years ago.

[ Impact ]
This version 1.6.6-1 fixes a critical release bug and is unusable with
version 1.6.5-1.
The fix avoids the package being removed from the Bookworm (currently
in testing). With a release date set for June 10th.

[ Tests ]
Salsa CI with blhc, reprotest, crossbuild arm64 and other jobs.
Sbuild after build runs lintian and piuparts.
There is no autopkgtest for this package.
In the tests it includes the use of the tool in its functions.
No issues were found during manual testing.

[ Risks ]
Through an email conversation with Samuel Henrique
<samueloph@debian.org> (maintainer of aircrack-ng and other packages
in pkg-security-team) it was portrayed that packaging the new version
released by the upstream was the best way to solve the problem.
And cherry-pick from a possible correction is not feasible and will
not guarantee to resolve all issues.

[ Checklist ]
[X] all changes are documented in the d/changelog
[X] I reviewed all changes and I approve them
[X] attach debdiff against the package in testing

[ Other info ]
The package has been moved to the pkg-security-team as maintainer and
has changed the previous maintainer to uploader. Samuel agrees to
upload the package.
This request has the build log and debdiff attached.
It's available at debian-mentors in https://mentors.debian.net/package/reaver.
