the draco transition looks stuck because of the failing autopkgtest with assimp from testing and draco from unstable. That failure is caused by the renamed CMake target for the draco library (now "draco::draco" instead of "draco_shared"). The target name is hardcoded in the assimp CMake config at package build time and exposed to library users, because it is a public dependency. This means the autopkgtest uses the wrong target name if it tries to build a test program with testing assimp and unstable draco (or vice versa). Unless I'm missing something, this also means that both packages can simply be migrated together to resolve the transition.
Do I understand correctly that you think this is a test-only issue? In other words, they can migrate together without breaking tests, but if somebody would do a partial upgrade (either one of the two), there is no issue? In even other words, there is no *versioned* relation (Depends/Breaks) missing?
