Dear horde maintainers, Mike,

Bugs have been filed (with the exception of the horde stack, but they are aware) of items we're aware of. Let's give the maintainers a month. I propose we can start the php8.1 transition around Christmas 2021. Does that work for you Ondřej?

You will probably have noticed that the transition started and that I filed a bunch of bugs against php-horde-* packages about their failing autopkgtests. I'll stop filing more for now, to not flood your mail boxes, but I would like a response from your side about what your plan is with the horde packages and the php8.1 transition.

To progress the transition, I plan to "ignore" the autopkgtest failures that are merely due to deprecation warnings, but 1) I expect these deprecation warnings to end up in journals/logs, so they may flood them excessively 2) failing autopkgtests are (and remain) RC issues in testing but I'm willing to tolerate it for some time if you elaborate on the way forward and it makes sense.

I think it's necessary to either *fix* the issue, or suppress the deprecation warnings in the horde packages. Just ignoring them in the autopkgtests is probably the worse outcome.

Paul

I plan to fix those, but I can't see light at the end of customer project tunnels these days. So it might not be as promptly as required.
