Package: release.debian.org Severity: normal User: release.debian.org@packages.debian.org Usertags: unblock Please unblock package python-defaults (just uploaded, so needs few more days but hopefully it will make it into Bullseye) [ Reason ] pyclean and pycomile scripts (and debpython module stripped down to code needed by mentioned scripts) were accidentally removed in 2.7.18-1 from python2-minimal package. There's a fallback code in maintainer scripts (in python-foo packages) so nobody noticed for almost a year but fortunately Jakub Wilk pinged us about the problem. [ Impact ] We're almost done with removing Python 2.X stack, but these scripts are still used and cover few more cases than the fallback code.
