The update beyond 3.7.2 with the goal of 3.7.3 was communicated and approved by
Emilio (pochu) even before doing the first upload from the 3.7 branch to
unstable.  Please let me know if there is anything I can do to avoid confusion
for future uploads.

g++-8 is the default g++, so this really is a no-change.

to be able to cross-build. That is a no-change for the native-build.

it silences a warning at runtime.
