Package: release.debian.org Severity: normal User: release.debian.org@packages.debian.org Usertags: unblock Please unblock package nvidia-graphics-drivers et.al. The proprietary 410.xx nvidia driver currently in buster has been superseded by a new upstream long lived branch: 418.xx. There will probably be no further upstream 410.xx releases (relevant in case of new CVEs). In stretch we have been tracking upstream long lived branches (until the 390.xx upstream legacy branch was started), and I plan to do the same for buster. So 418.xx or newer will probably find it's way into buster at some point anyway. Therefore let's better start with a modern version that also supports more current graphics cards. There are no relevant packaging changes (that are unrelated to new upstream releases) this time. We build the packages from several source packages, since sources are available for some components. As mixing different (major) versions is untested, we should not have diverging versions of the individual components. unblock nvidia-graphics-drivers/418.56-2 unblock nvidia-settings/418.56-1 unblock nvidia-xconfig/418.56-1 unblock nvidia-modprobe/418.56-1 unblock nvidia-persistenced/418.56-1 Thanks for considering, AndreasAttachment: ngd-418.56-2.diff.gz
