For Debian Edu, this will break the terminal server build variant, but that should be tolerable.
I believe debian-edu, the only user I'm aware of using the ltsp-client-builder .udeb is working on updating to the newer version of ltsp. The ltsp-client-builder .udeb may also need to be removed from testing, although it appears to be removed from sid, so maybe it's just a matter of waiting for some cleanup processes? Thanks all!
This week I did my first tests of the new LTSP rewrite and I am excited about how easy things have been reworked. Of course, we need to heavily adapt Debian Edu's way of setting up the LTSP server, but with the new release of LTSP, setup and also maintenance should be much easier than before.
Vagrant, please note that LTSP 19.11-1 fails at user login because of incompatibility with fuse3 (see #945521). The bug report comes with a patch and maybe you want to fix it first before having LTSP migrated to testing...
