Bug#918954: transition: yaz

Package: release.debian.org
Severity: normal
User: release.debian.org@packages.debian.org
Usertags: transition

  Hi,

yaz in Debian is very old (four-and-a-half-years old, mainly due to
my inaction, sorry).
There has been a bug against it requiering update (#915369) as it was
blocking the removal of icu-config (#898820).
Hugh McMaster (working on the icu-config removal) helps me to package
the last version of yaz and checked the reverse dependencies. The
updated package is in experimental (5.27.1-1)
It would be good if the new yaz package can reach buster, mainly due
to the age of the code. In any case, as we were not sure to be on-time
for the freeze, the initial problem (usage of icu-config) has been
fixed by a small patch in unstable (4.2.30-4.1).

  Regards,
    Vincent
