Would it be possible to fast track libgit2, protobuf and grpc migrations
so I can get gitlab to testing and stretch-backports soon?

This will help in providing an upgrade path via stretch-backports to
current users of gitlab as providing security updates is becoming hard.

I will try, as some of those are really complex patches to backport. I
have not evaluated the complexity of recent issues, I will look into it.
