Hi RMs,

libsodium had to change the soname with 1.0.15 due to an API break by
the following.
"The aes128ctr primitive was removed. It was slow, non-standard, not
authenticated, and didn't seem to be used by any opensource project."

This is not 100% true, fastd (Fast and Secure Tunnelling Daemon) did
use it and doesn't compile with new libsodium releases. Issue is known
and has a fix[1] already. Package maintainer Cc-ed (who is also
upstream) as a heads-up.

pysodium doesn't compile in Sid even, the self-test failure
(test_crypto_pwhash) reason is unknown to me.

Version 1.0.16 of libsodium is in experimental and built on all
relevant architectures. Others are still pending. Especially on
kFreeBSD ones that have a big lag. :(
Hope this transition can be acknowledged.

Regards,
Laszlo/GCS
