Bug#883517: release.debian.org: improve lags in stable-compare output
Package: release.debian.org
User: release.debian.org@packages.debian.org
Usertags: tools
Severity: wishlist
stable-compare uses packages files generated by dak in order to
determine which packages are currently in stable-new and p-u.
Unfortunately, due to the fact that the stable-new files are generated
more regularly than the p-u files, after an upload is accepted from
stable-new to p-u, there is a (sometimes long) period of time between
the upload being added to p-u and the script noticing this fact,
leading to misleading output.
A more accurate view could be generated either by using direct database
access to determine the contents of p-u, or generate a packages file
based on the database and use that as input.
Regards,
Adam
