Package: release.debian.org Severity: normal User: release.debian.org@packages.debian.org Usertags: unblock Please unblock package exim4 and the corresponding eximdoc4 package. exim 4.89 is a stabilization release over 4.88. No big new features have been added, just small stuff: Allow relative config file names for ".include". New main-section config option "debug_store". IDNA2008 support. (Not used by debian build.) The majority of the changes are bugfixes. Some of these qualify as RC on their own (e.g. the fact that BDAT is broken in many ways or #857344), but the sum of the issues surely qualifies as "in the package maintainer's opinion, makes the package unsuitable for release." On the Debian packaging side the changes are limited: * Enable inbound (server-side) proxying for -heavy. Closes: #856712 * Document E4BCD_PANICLOG_LINES in README.Debian. * Use /run/exim4/ instead of legacy directory /var/run/exim4 for pidfile. * In initscript add header "# pidfile: /var/run/exim4/exim.pid" for improved systemd interaction. #844178 eximdoc4 should be unproblematic, this is just about keeping the documention up to date, there are no Debian specific changes. thanks for considering, cu Andreas unblock exim4/4.89-1 unblock eximdoc4/4.89-1 -- `What a good friend you are to him, Dr. Maturin.
