Hello, I ran diffoscope on the generated binary packages. There is some noise in the diff due to embedded build paths and varying build IDs, but otherwise, the only difference is the contents of const unsigned char boot_array[4136] in the .rodata section of sbin/mkntfs i.e.: Jan's proposed upload changes only the thing we expected it to. But this in turn means that filesystems created by mkntfs will have a placeholder instead of the first-stage loader of Windows. Normally a fixed version would have been uploaded to DELAYED/10 allowing time for the maintainer to pre-empt with another upload. But - there would be no point uploading something to DELAYED if the release time would not approve an unblock. I think that is why this was filed - intended as a request for comments about a speculative upload to DELAYED/10. You could follow-up with your own debdiff if you plan to make your own upload for this? Regards, -- Steven Chamberlain steven@pyro.eu.org
