Seeking pre-approval to upload new file upstream version for stretch

Hello,

while preparing an upload and an unblock request for file 1:5.29-4 to
address two important/serious issues, upstream surprised me with a new
release (5.30) today.

So I'd like to take the opportunity to ship that one in stretch since
there are just a few changes besides those mentioned above, and it would
give Debian the chance to start stretch with a clean and a rather simple
patch queue - something I consider desirable to handle future updates
(and unfortunately, we can be certain there will be some).

Please tell me if this is at all acceptable for you. To ease your
decision, I can provide an explanation for all the 13 upstream commits
that describe the difference from 1:5.29-4. Also, I will do a major test
run to find any regressions, will take a few hours. And I will not
hesitate to disable the two commits that actually introduce new features
in case they cause trouble. Still, this seems a better solution to me
than cherry-picking.

Kind regards,

    Christoph
