It seems to be reproducible on a set of processors.

My worry here is not about packages building fine, but about users with the
given processors getting a broken openmpi.
But sure, if the maintainers / OP don't think the bug should be RC, then feel
free to downgrade. But otherwise, it needs to be taken care of.
