That bug appears not to have been fixed in unstable yet, which should really happen first.
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=765129#91 also suggests that the package doesn't really work afterwards and that we might be better not shipping it.
(Needless to say, I'm also rather unamused by the fact that a new upstream version was uploaded on the eve of the freeze.)
