Okay, looking at 765120, I think the manual decruft (and forcibly
broken) monogame is best for now. I intend to fix it, but I don't think
I can realistically do that without it causing serious delays to this
transition (and the required update to MonoDevelop is a big job).

File a bug against ftp.d.o?
