package: release.debian.org,debian-security-support #severity: important # or wishlist? Hi, I believe the Debian Security Team has decided that the rather new debian-security-support package should be the official and supported way in which Debian communicates what packages receive security support at all, for how long and in what scope. (Some packages are not supported in all usage scenarios...) This differs by Debian releases, so users are recommended to install this package on all of their systems. Currently we have: debian-security-support | 2014.09.07~bpo70+1 | wheezy-backports | source, all debian-security-support | 2014.11.07 | testing | source, all debian-security-support | 2014.12.08~bpo60+1 | squeeze-lts | source, all debian-security-support | 2014.12.08 | unstable | source, all IOW, the debian-security-support package is missing in wheezy (proper) and I believe it should be added there now / with a regular pointrelease, instead of being added through the backdoor when we'll (hopefully) have wheezy-lts... (like what happened for squeeze.) cheers, Holger, just a mere user of this package here...Attachment: signature.asc
