That's just a single package that would have to be modified ... and we
have similar "workarounds" in quite a lot of packages.

Fixing this properly would be easier (and shorter) than writing a proper
release note entry (or this email).

That's probably unlikely (besides in piuparts), but where should a line
be drawn? Especially if a fix would be easier than adding yet another
workaround to piuparts ...
