Package: release.debian.org Severity: normal User: release.debian.org@packages.debian.org Usertags: unblock Please unblock package python-django Upstream has published a new bugfix release (1.7.5) and a new security release (1.7.6). And as I have already argued in #775892, I believe that we should be able to follow the upstream point releases since they are limited to bug fixes (with some exceptions for new translations and documentation). And it will also make it easier to provide security support since Django is a large package with regular security fixes. The security release fixes CVE-2015-2241. Here's the documentation of what went in those two releases: https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/1.7/releases/1.7.5/ https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/1.7/releases/1.7.6/ unblock python-django/1.7.6-1 Here's the debdiff: Django.egg-info/PKG-INFO | 2 Django.egg-info/SOURCES.txt | 4 + PKG-INFO | 2 debian/changelog | 20 +++++ debian/control | 1 django/__init__.py | 2 django/conf/locale/az/formats.py | 35 +++++++++ django/contrib/admin/helpers.py | 2 django/contrib/auth/management/__init__.py | 5 - django/contrib/auth/tests/test_management.py | 20 ----- django/contrib/contenttypes/management.py | 5 - django/contrib/contenttypes/tests/tests.py | 23 ------ django/contrib/sites/management.py | 2 django/contrib/sites/tests.py | 14 +++ django/db/backends/postgresql_psycopg2/base.py | 28 ++++++- django/db/backends/schema.py | 13 ++- django/db/backends/sqlite3/schema.py | 11 +- django/db/migrations/loader.py | 12 --- django/db/models/fields/related.py | 3 docs/howto/auth-remote-user.txt | 12 +++ docs/howto/custom-template-tags.txt | 26 ++++-- docs/howto/deployment/wsgi/modwsgi.txt | 12 ++- docs/howto/deployment/wsgi/uwsgi.txt | 2 docs/howto/outputting-pdf.txt | 2 docs/howto/upgrade-version.txt | 4 - docs/intro/overview.txt | 2 docs/intro/tutorial01.txt | 55 +++++++------- docs/intro/tutorial02.txt | 6 - docs/intro/whatsnext.txt | 6 - docs/ref/class-based-views/flattened-index.txt | 6 - docs/ref/class-based-views/generic-date-based.txt | 4 - docs/ref/class-based-views/mixins-editing.txt | 18 +--- docs/ref/contrib/formtools/form-wizard.txt | 2 docs/ref/contrib/gis/geos.txt | 3 docs/ref/contrib/gis/install/geolibs.txt | 2 docs/ref/contrib/gis/tutorial.txt | 34 ++++---- docs/ref/databases.txt | 29 +++---- docs/ref/django-admin.txt | 4 - docs/ref/forms/validation.txt | 4 - docs/ref/models/instances.txt | 2 docs/ref/models/querysets.txt | 4 - docs/ref/settings.txt | 2 docs/ref/templates/builtins.txt | 8 +- docs/releases/1.0-porting-guide.txt | 6 - docs/releases/1.4.13.txt | 2 docs/releases/1.4.18.txt | 2 docs/releases/1.4.6.txt | 2 docs/releases/1.5.2.txt | 2 docs/releases/1.5.8.txt | 2 docs/releases/1.6.10.txt | 2 docs/releases/1.6.5.txt | 2 docs/releases/1.6.txt | 9 +- docs/releases/1.7.3.txt | 2 docs/releases/1.7.5.txt | 27 +++++++ docs/releases/1.7.6.txt | 30 +++++++ docs/releases/index.txt | 2 docs/spelling_wordlist | 45 +++++++++++ docs/topics/auth/default.txt | 84 ++++++++++++++++++---- docs/topics/cache.txt | 7 + docs/topics/forms/modelforms.txt | 21 ++++- docs/topics/i18n/timezones.txt | 2 docs/topics/install.txt | 69 +++++++----------- docs/topics/migrations.txt | 19 ++++ docs/topics/testing/advanced.txt | 2 docs/topics/testing/tools.txt | 42 ++++------- setup.cfg | 3 tests/admin_views/admin.py | 2 tests/admin_views/models.py | 7 + tests/admin_views/tests.py | 9 ++ tests/backends/tests.py | 28 +++++++ tests/m2m_regress/tests.py | 4 + tests/schema/fields.py | 4 + tests/schema/models.py | 9 ++ tests/schema/tests.py | 82 ++++++++++++++++++++- 74 files changed, 674 insertions(+), 308 deletions(-) -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.0 APT prefers squeeze-lts APT policy: (500, 'squeeze-lts'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (500, 'oldstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.utf8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) -- Raphaël Hertzog ◈ Debian Developer Support Debian LTS: http://www.freexian.com/services/debian-lts.html Learn to master Debian: http://debian-handbook.info/get/Attachment: debdiff.txt.gz
