Package: release.debian.org Severity: normal Tags: wheezy User: release.debian.org@packages.debian.org Usertags: pu Hi, As reported in #738701, the firebug version currently in stable is not compatible with iceweasel 24 from stable-security. I’d like you to consider accepting the (rebuilt in Wheezy) version currently available in Jessie and Sid, known to work with iceweasel 24. I’m happy to provide an actual debdiff, but given how insanely huge those 13MB are, I’ll just inform you of the diffstat last line as a start: 453 files changed, 124169 insertions(+), 186106 deletions(-) I’m sorry to ask for such a request again, but it seems like the less ugly way to handle the new ESR-support of iceweasel in stable… I’m happy to keep the 1.12.6-1 in Sid and Jessie as long as needed to hopefully get as much testing as possible with the current iceweasel 24 (and will push new upstream releases to experimental only) if you believe it’s worth it. Please note that this new firebug version is not compatible with the “old” iceweasel 17. Thanks (a lot) in advance for considering. Regards David P.-S.: X-D-CC to pkg-mozext-maintainers@l.a.d.o and sebastien@d.o who may ask for similar (albeit hopefully less insanely huge) requests about flashblock and sage-extension (for versions being in testing for a longer time than this version of firebug is). -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (500, 'oldstable'), (100, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.12-1-rt-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash
