The offtopic part was my question about having several versions at the
same time, not the rest.

We did that in the past, it's not very useful for feedback because
almost nobody uses it, and it does not migrate automatically to
unstable or testing until some period so you have to reupload, etc.
In general, that's not a substitute for having several versions in
unstable or in testing at the same time and be able to switch between
them.
