Bug#772024: unblock: gnome-flashback/2.10.0-2
Package: release.debian.org
Severity: normal
User: release.debian.org@packages.debian.org
Usertags: unblock
Hi,
I'm filing this bug to discuss possible ways forward for #771922.
After reading the bug report and chatting to the maintainer, I believe
the most sensible fix would be to allow a backport of the keygrabber code
into jessie.
The code that would be backported is:
https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-flashback/commit/?id=cfce8742780e8be335cf19dd49a993cc0ea63b13
https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-flashback/commit/?id=670c310e8eaf89e895da96e62edc2a724c4ec068
These two commits would bring back the key grabbing functionality and would
partially fix #771922.
I've been in touch with the maintainer (Cc'd), and he thinks this should be
a good improvement.
