Re: Release upgrade, menu downgrade

Hi,

This list is for co-ordination of the activities of the release team,
whose function is to assemble the release out of the packages uploaded by
individual developers.

The release team does not have any influence over the area you identified; you should contact the developers at large (debian-devel@lists.debian.org)
or better than that, file bugs against individual packages.

I wonder how many of the "various interested parties /
companies" favouring long-term security support also prefer the Debian
6 menu.

This is something you'd have to ask them; however, my understanding of
the LTS is that it is for security fixes predominantly.
