G-C-C and its friends should transition in 2 days time (with aging)

http://packages.qa.debian.org/g/gnome-control-center.html

On the other hand the newer samba has also transitioned to testing :-

$ apt-show-versions -a samba-common
samba-common:all 2:4.0.10+dfsg-4 install ok installed
samba-common:all 2:4.0.10+dfsg-4 testing debian.ec.as6453.net
samba-common:all 2:4.0.10+dfsg-4 unstable debian.ec.as6453.net
No experimental version
samba-common:all/testing 2:4.0.10+dfsg-4 uptodate

I haven't installed samba server as not needed (as samba is a server
thing and probably not needed in a desktop environment)

p samba -
SMB/CIFS file, print, and login server for Unix

Now till this bug #724731 is not fixed, don't think GNOME 3.8 will
come to testing and till it's not on many systems we would probably
not get the answers people are looking for.

I read the whole bug-report and there doesn't seem to be any sense
that people have found what the root cause for bug 724731 is and there
maybe many reasons for that.

As I am not much of a gnome-shell user for me the biggie is how the
whole gnome-fallback works or doesn't work with metacity as I have
never used mutter and dunno how good/bad they would work with my aged
desktop (circa 2007 desktop comp.)

 http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=107281

~$ aptitude search gnome-session-f
i A gnome-session-fallback -
GNOME Session Manager - GNOME Flashback (transitional package)
p gnome-session-flashback -
GNOME Session Manager - GNOME Flashback session

Looking forward to have gnome 3.8 in my system.
