FWIW the BTS wants to be told wheezy is affected as well.

I might have picked a wording more along the “new upstream release from
a stable branch” lines, to avoid squeeze-related mind-boggling, but OK. :)

I'm not sure how comforting the last bit is. :/

Same remark as for the first bug. In addition to that, we really prefer
fixes that have been tested in unstable for a while. Given the p-u
freeze is near[1], I think it might be a good idea to stick to a fix for
the first bug only which might get into 7.2. We could think of a second
upload later (probably for another point release) once the fix has been
exposed to users.
