That's unfortunate. However, it looks like the suggested patch is
exactly the same as that in https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=59641 ,
where upstream at least don't say the patch is wrong.
On that basis, please go ahead. Chasing up the reporter again would be
appreciated.
