Well, it doesn't really hurt anything. So if you want to keep it for
wheezy, that is probably ok, too.

That said, it is not actually kdm which needs hal, but the X server
which uses hal for enumeration of the input devices on non-Linux.

Julien, does Xorg on non-Linux cope with hal being started after X?
