To my knowledge fixing this in sid should be sufficient, so it shouldn't
need an unblock.  That is, the QA infrastructure seems to rely on the
email address from the package in sid.

The debhelper compat bump is unacceptable for an unblock.

To be honest only the the hardening change seem possibly relevant, but I
suspect it isn't a part of the release goal[1].

BTW, we have published a Freeze Policy[2].

[1] I have to admit, I was too lazy to check if playmidi is in the
target set for the hardening goal.  But since the change isn't closing a
bug, I made an (educated) guess.
