Package: release.debian.org Severity: normal User: release.debian.org@packages.debian.org Usertags: unblock Hi, ipython upstream is going to release a bugfix only release soon which fixes a couple important and many minor bugs. I would like to have this release in wheezy if you allow it. Attached a debdiff of the current 0.13.1 branch which is likely not going change much until the release. The fixed issues are documented on https://github.com/ipython/ipython/commits/0.13.1 until commit 6ecadfa3e8 (version 0.13.1dev) For your convenience patch log (git log -p 6ecadfa3e8..) is also attached. The most important fixes concern running parallel computing clusters in non trivial cases. The relevant issues are these: https://github.com/ipython/ipython/issues/2280 https://github.com/ipython/ipython/issues/2214 https://github.com/ipython/ipython/issues/2126 https://github.com/ipython/ipython/issues/2163 If the whole update would rejected I still want to backport those fixes to wheezy. But considering the simplicity of most fixes I really hope you approve the whole update. The debian packaging also has a couple minor fixes including #685986, #685985 and the reappeared in different form #683108. The packaging is of course not final and can be adapted to your wishes. When the final release is done I will ping you again with the changes since this request. Cheers, Julian TaylorAttachment: ipython_0.13.1~git20120903.debdiff.gz
