I understand that, but at the same time there is rule #6 and I’d
definitely say that it applies :-).

In any case, the decision is up to the release team. I can only say that
I think it’d be very beneficial to have this change in wheezy and I
don’t see any downsides.

If you insist on the source format being a big change, I could revert
that. Do you want me to do that?
