Bug#673706: RM: ztex-ezusb/20111017-2
Package: release.debian.org
Severity: normal
User: release.debian.org@packages.debian.org
Usertags: rm
Please remove ztex-ezusb completely from the distribution, including unstable. Reasons are
* virtually no response from the community
* upstream makes it too easy with tarballs to be already productive
* it is all Java, and the firmware/bitstream parts most interesting to build cannot be built since the FPGA tools are non-free, i.e. not even redistributable
There is a smallish Open Source FPGA community that I felt like attracting to Debian more. This needs more time.
