This is one thing I prefer to not fix since it makes too easy to
people to use d-i with untested kernel versions and this is a big
problem specially with stable releases since people try to use d-i
with newer kernels and this can resuing in different level of
problems.

Imagine that people could be using lenny installer with wheezy kernel
and expect it to run since it built fine. So at least people know that
they're changing a hardcoded value and then it's their responsability
to deal with it.

Let's get rid of Otavio ;-) ...

Well, this is my goal too so it will be much eaiser to deal with d-i
and to have more people joining the development if it is made easier.
Let's work for it to happen :-)
